Tackle a series of Class III and IV rapids, including the infamous Box Car, before
stopping at Maupin City Park for a delicious BBQ steak and chicken lunch. Then
feel your adrenaline peak again as we ride Oak Springs and (if you're feeling
adventurous) bodysurf the elevator rapids, before we portage around Sherar's

These river camping trips are guaranteed to soak away your cares and stimulate
your senses. Traveling 40+ miles on the remote areas of the river will
offer you a glimpse into history and thrills to remember. Enjoy some of the largest
and most exciting rapids on the river. By day, we ride the Deschutes
River from
Maupin to its confluence with the mighty Columbia River. Spy on big horn sheep
and eagles, hear talk of the historic railroad wars and marvel at basalt formations
during sun-soaked floats. And, when we hit swift water, be prepared to feel it
in your gut. In addition to the wild rapids we ride during the day trips, the
overnight excursions conquer the infamous Colorado and Wash-out. When we break,
take time to explore nature trails, fish or simply kick back, and let us treat
your palate to gourmet fare at every meal. Just pack your sleeping bag, toiletries,
fishing rod and camera -- we supply the rest.
We provide tents, air
matresses, all food and other camping essentials. We provide dry bags for your
gear and gourmet meals. This is the ideal getaway for families, corporate trips,
senior class trips, or simply to relax.

Whether you prefer fly or reel casting, you haven't fished for steelhead or trout
until you've fished the lower Deschutes. Our guides will float you into some
of the finest water available. We take care of everything...your only job is
to fish and relax. Steelhead fishing peaks in late August and September, and
trout fishing is best April through June; however, trout can be caught year-round.
Floats from Sherar's Falls to Macks Canyon typically take a full day. Contact
us for more details or to customize a trip.
